As most of us were rolling our eyes at the, "she fell asleep" excuse, Britney Spears was checking into an Arizona spa after her collapse at PURE Nightclub New Year's morning.

According to Life & Style Magazine, Britney was taken to the Sanctuary resort and spa directly from Caesars Palace after her post-midnight collapse for rest, relaxation and rehab. In the report, a source questioned which "R" was being emphasized during this visit.

"With these celebrities, 'exhaustion' sometimes means something else and a little rest at a spa sometimes actually translates into something a little more serious," the source said.

An insider also told Life & Style that Brit's parents pleaded with her to get therapy, as they're heartbroken with her spiraling out of control. "It's just been heartbreaking for her parents to watch Britney on this downward spiral," an "insider" told the mag. "It's so sad."

This was the scene in the PURE Nightclub at Caesar's Palace at midnight as pop-queen Britney Spears hosted the midnight countdown. An hour later, Britney Spears collapsed and was rushed from the club.

Our Luxe Life photos, courtesy of PURE, show a radiant and happy Britney, who was also helping PURE celebrate its 2-year anniversary as America's hottest hippest nightspot. Wearing Cartier jewelry and dressed in a black-sequined Chloe dress and Jimmy Choo high-heeled shoes Britney and her entourage of 27 had first dined in a private room at the Social House Asian themed restaurant in Treasure Island. She picked mini Kobe beef burgers, lobster curry salad and chicken fried rice before heading down to PURE.

From the moment she entered the nightclub fans and revelers went crazy with nonstop flashbulbs. "The energy was chart-topping for Britney, her group and the club" said one VIP guest "The ultimate New Years party." Britney was drinking Dom Perignon champagne and singing along to all the songs that DJ Hollywood played on the turntables.


Poker star actress Shannon Elizabeth and Desperate Housewives actor Jesse Metcalfe were in the neighboring VIP cabana bed and said hello with hugs and kisses to the pop-princess. Britney and her pals had "been on a rolling party" up to Vegas from Scottsdale, Arizona on a rented tour bus. At the weekend Britney had been spotted at the JackRabbit nightclub in Scottsdale with Paris Hilton's former beau Matt Leinart and newspapers across America and Canada are hinting it could be the start of a new romance. However, for the record he was nowhere to be seen in Vegas!

When her hit song "I'm A Slave for You" was blasted over the sound system she went to the railing overlooking the dance floor and danced for the crowd. Then she began the first of her 2 countdowns. Inside the club she yelled "What happens in Vegas always stays in Vegas" and after the countdown she wished everybody a Happy New Year. Immediately she went up in the club's elevator for the outdoor upper terrace to watch the fireworks exploding on 7 hotel rooftops, a display saluting 007 set to James Bond movie themes!


Also celebrating with Britney were actor Marlan Williams, NBA legend Dr. J. Julius Irving and poker pro Chris Ferguson. Rocker Dave Navarro, who had hosted the countdown at sister club Tangerine in Treasure Island, also wound up on a VIP bed at PURE pre-dawn.

As 2007 officially began, Britney and her friends popped the cork on a massive $5,000 supersized bottle of Dom Perignon in front of a gigantic Happy New Year cake that was actually layered in Swarovski diamonds. Britney, with champagne in hand, led her friends in the open-air toast and then retreated downstairs back to her VIP cabana bed.

And it was there just 50-minutes into the New Year -- at exactly 12:50AM -- that she collapsed and was dramatically carried out of the club hidden under a hooded black poncho behind a screen of 12 burly bodyguard bouncers, as Luxe Life first reported at 2:30AMtoday.

While the health of Britney Spears was still in question after she collapsed at PURE, the stars were still partying at TAO in the Venetian at 6AM this first morning of the New Year and everybody there was asking if Pamela Anderson has found a new boyfriend. It was an off-the-hook 8-hour celebration that began to wrap near dawn.

Gorgeous Pamela set off a flashbulb frenzy showing up in a tight black mini-dress with longtime friend , former Hells Angel motorcycle leader, actor Chuck Zito who regularly stars in HBO's prison drama series 'Oz.' They may well have been longtime pals but romance looked afoot this New Years Eve. They waved hello to me in their VIP section and then promptly went back to nuzzling, arm and leg rubbing and neck kissing!! Across the street at the Mirage was her newly-separated husband Kid Rock and around the corner at the Hard Rock was her former husband Tommy Lee.


Gossip guru Norm Clarke of our Las Vegas Review-Journal is reporting this morning that "a jealous Kid Rock" went to the Hard Rock Hotel at 6AM yesterday and pounded on a door he had been told was Tommy Lee's suite! Norm says the door was damaged by the time the actual guest opened it. Kid Rock apparently apologized, gave the startled guest an autograph and split. Goodness knows what kind of an altercation there would have been if Tommy Lee had actually opened it. Luxe Life knows there is " bad blood" between the 2 Pamela rockers, and Kid Rock actually verbally blasted Tommy Lee last week for " being a bad amateur part-time DJ."


Back at TAO, comedian Pauly Shore, with comedy heavyweight Jeff Beacher, turned up for the 5th consecutive night and close to midnight, Pamela and Pauly went on the TAO stage and did the countdown to a cheering crowd. At about 1:15AM, Usher showed for the 2nd consecutive and amped the crowd up on the microphone singing his hits "Yeah" and 'I Need a Girl.'


The glittering night of celebrity fun was just beginning to ramp up to warp speed because at 3:30am, singer, actor, comedian Jamie Foxx made a surprise arrival after flying in from Oakland on a private jet. He joined Usher on the club's sound system and sang "Golddigger" amongst other old school hip hop hits. At 5AM Jamie was still going strong in TAO's VIP section to the delight of New Years revelers and it was only as the clock ticked closer to 6am this morning that the celebrities began to "call it a night" and get ready for some beauty-rest!

Less than one hour into the New Year, pop-princess Britney Spears collapsed at the PURE nightclub inside Caesars Palace. Just 50 minutes earlier, she had hosted two countdowns to usher in the New Year - one inside the VIP section at the hip hot nightspot and a 2nd up on the club's upper outdoor terrace overlooking the famed Vegas Strip where fireworks were shot off from seven casino-hotel rooftops.

Mystery now surrounds Britney's collapse early this morning. She had been seated on a VIP tented-cabana bed overlooking the dance floor at 12:50AM talking with one of her male dancers. She intimated she wanted to leave and as she stood up, "she went into a dead faint and just fell right to the floor."

Her group pulled her up and lay her on the bed at the same time as her personal security asked for the club to provide at least 10 other security managers to "get her out as quickly as possible." They surrounded the stricken pop star in an attempt to screen her from all observers and the new years revelers on the crowded dance floor.

One woman in the Spears' entourage yelled, "Make sure nobody gets any photos. No photos anywhere."

When the 12-strong security phalanx was in place, two of her dancers wrapped Britney in what appeared to be a blanket-hooded poncho. Literally carrying her in both arms, they managed to propell her through the crowds and out of the club.

It appeared as if "she was being dragged as she wasn't walking under her own speed" said one eyewitness. "It looked as if they wanted to get her up to her hotel room as soon as possible."

At 2AM this morning, an ambulance was summoned to the hotel but it was totally unclear if it was brought to Caesars for Britney.

The party has started- and there's a surprise addition of superstar Usher to the all-VIP celebrity lineup for Vegas this weekend! Usher will be rocking at TAO in the Venetian not only tonight but he's also joining bosomy-blonde Pamela Anderson who's flying in from Vancouver tomorrow for the Dec. 31 midnight countdown!

And the world's hottest music group of the moment, the Black Eyed Peas kicked it all off early this morning at TAO after their Mandalay Bay concert. On hand were Will I Am, Taboo and Apl.de.ap along with their musicians and dancers.

"We're partying till 6am" Will I Am told me flashing a giant thumbs up." It was a great concert here but we've now got to jet down to Rio de Janeiro for New Years Eve to play there -- so we may as well hang out here at TAO, party and then just go straight to the plane. We can sleep the 10-hours all the way down there! Being a star is tough with all the travel. We spend more time moving from one place to another than we spend playing."

Joining in the "kick off New Years weekend " party were Dancing with the Stars heart-throb Mario Lopez and comedian Pauly Shore. It was Pauly's third consecutive night at the star-studded nightspot and he created a fan frenzy of fiery flashbulbs when he jumped on one of the speakers to dance. Mario is in town for tonight's touring version of the dance TV show with co-stars Harry Hamlin, Lisa Rinna and Drew Lachey. (Since that is being held at the Thomas & Mack Center just two blocks from the MGM Grand where UFC champions Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz will brutally battle for the title-belt, expect all-time worst traffic gridlock!) Also at the Black Eyed Peas party were restaurateurs Frank Rao Jr. and his kitchen-queen chef Carla from Manhattan's tough-to-get into RAO'S that's just opened an outpost in Caesars Palace here. My new favorite femme fatale Fergie remained back at the Mandalay Bay hotel skipping the party so she could spend some precious holiday time at midnight with her boyfriend and her family before the South America flight.

News that R & B King Usher is coming to town to party and play reverberated around TAO. He'll be there solo tonight just joining the crowds for New Years weekend, but he's also asked to party with 'Baywatch' babe, Pamela tomorrow night as she does the 11:59PM countdown into 2007!

TAO co-owner, Jason Strauss told me, "The party has only just begun. Usher being here is the icing on the cake to make it a never to be forgotten New Years! "

Meantime, just a reminder that in addition to Pamela and Usher at TAO, Vegas hosts on New Years Eve pop-queen Britney Spears at PURE in Caesars Palace, Kid Rock at JET in the Mirage, Dave Navarro at Tangerine in the TI and the final member of Pamela's romantic life, Tommy Lee will launch two nights of Supernova concerts at the Joint in the Hard Rock while downstairs in its Body English nightclub, it's rockers galore with Camp Freddy -- in all, more than 30 nightclub and music events. Add in the giant Fremont Street rock concert with OK GO, Chicago and Smashmouth -- plus a host of other rock star groups -- and the seven rooftop Strip hotel fireworks display at midnight, and you realize why Vegas has won the title of #1 City in America for New Years Eve!

Valentina appeared in Maxim Magazine and as a fashion, fitness, catwalk and spokes-model she was crowned Miss Russian California in 2003. Born in Kalinghrad she spent nine years as a gymnast competing in the Russian Federal and European Championships.

We're inching ever closer to the January 7 premiere on VH1 of our new "Surreal Life: Fame Games" series with 11 of the most memorable cast members from past Surreal Life shows. It's no secret that celebrities love to party in Vegas. So it's not surprising that on New Year's Eve, the biggest party night of the year, Sin City will be filled with super stars ready to ring in 2007. Saturday, December 30: Las Vegas' wildest watering hole, Coyote Ugly, begins counting down to 2007 early, as Playboy Cyber Girl Cidney Carson hosts the night. The place on The Strip to get wild and crazy, Carson is sure to keep the party going all night long.

Sunday, December 31: The official countdown to 2007 will be out of this world with The Real World Denver's sassy cast member Jenn Grijaiva as honorary "Coyote-for-the-night". As Grijaiva and the other Coyotes let go of 2006 and lasso in 2007, the evening will be one that club goers are sure to never forget.
